Welcome to recall, relive, and be reinvigorated!
These are two one week trips, from May 24th to May 31st 2016 in Poland, and in Israel from June 1st to the 7th 2016. On this trip, led by Rabbi Yossi Lew and Dovid Solomon, the participants will visit the country of Poland for one week. This trip will recall the rich history and darkest moments of Jewish past. The next week will feature a visit to Israel, looking towards the modern-day life of Judaism, and an even brighter future.
You may have traveled to Israel before. We guarantee that there is no trip to Israel more meaningful and inspiring than coming from the ashes of Poland. You will understand Israel and its meaning in a whole different way. This trip is not deigned to make you sad – although there will be inevitable moments filled with deep sadness. This trip is designed to offer a glimpse into the soul of the Jewish people. It will also open up your soul in ways you’ve likely never had before.
The itinerary has been prepared by a team of professionals that have led countless trip through Poland and Israel. It has been designed to give you a taste – just a taste, but a real taste – of what things were like prior to the Holocaust, during the Holocaust, and how the Jewish nation picked up the pieces and rebuilt a stronger Jewish life than even before.
This trip is designed in a manner that the participants will bring home with them a piece of history and a resolve for the future in their very hearts.
To this end, we intend to bring along with us a Holocaust survivor – and she will, with G-d’s help, be healthy enough to join us. The survivor will add to this trip untold authenticity and commentary, which will enhance this trip beyond measure.
Rabbi Lew, the Rabbi leading this trip, will add a Chabad “flavor” and energy to the trip. The trip will, therefore, be much more than reliving history. It is designed to give you the whole story, but with a practical, down-to-earth relevance to each individual on the trip. The intention of this trip is that the lives of each of its participants will be greatly enhanced.
As time continues to move, the Holocaust and its meaning becomes more skewered. We are losing droves of survivors per year. The precious few that remain are silent no longer. They wish to have their story never be forgotten. The time is now to experience this incredible glimpse into the past and future.
